Know about supervisor password
WebCleaner adopts supervisor password authentication as a security policy to manage WebCleaner. User must set up the supervisor password after installation and keep the password in mind, for user has to provide correct supervisor password to enter WebCleaner management menu or uninstall WebCleaner.

Note: User can change supervisor password at WebCleaner->System Options->General Options->Change Password.

Install and uninstall WebCleaner
Download the total package from www.NetGuarder.com , then install from your computer.
User can uninstall WebCleaner from Windows Start(->Settings)->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs and user must supply correct supervisor password to uninstall WebCleaner..

Note: User must hold windows administrator privilege to install or uninstall WebCleaner.

Start and stop WebCleaner
Normally WebCleaner will run automatically after Microsoft Windows System is ready and the Content Filter service will start automatically only after Internet connection is set up. User can stop WebCleaner by clicking Stop WebCleaner.

Click icon then input correct supervisor password, popup WebCleaner menu.

Note: User must set http proxy to Server:127.0.0.1, Port:8080 manually for the following Browsers:
Netscape Navigator (Edit->Preferences->Advanced->Proxies);
Opera (File->Preferences->Network->Proxy servers);
AOL (Edit->Preferences->Advanced->Proxies).

Hide and show WebCleaner Interface
Webcleaner can hide or show all associated interfaces, for example, product logo, tray icon and so on. User clicks Hide Interface, then WebCleaner will hide all associated interfaces after restarting WebCleaner or rebooting machine; while user clicks Show Interface ,WebCleaner will show all associated interfaces after restarting WebCleaner or rebooting machine.
Note: Please use hot key "Alt + Ctrl + W" to show WebCleaner.

Know about "System Options"
At "System Options", user can make the following configuration:

Content Rating: Classify the permitted gambling, sex and violent content are divided into five levels from the strict to the slight(0-4).

Approved Sites: User can create a list of web sites that are always viewable or never viewable regardless of how they are rated in "Content Rating".

General Options: User can change supervisor password at this page and set the following options:

Function options
*Content filtering: If checked, WebCleaner will filter web content intelligently;
*Log access: If checked, WebCleaner will log every forbidden Internet access and forbidden reason;
*Locked mode: If checked, WebCleaner will only permit Internet access to the web sites in "Approved Sites" and disable Internet access to the other web sites.

Network options
Set proxy parameters if user accesses Internet through proxy server.

Update Online: User can update WebCleaner online.

Know about "Forbidden Access"
At "Forbidden Access", user can check the forbidden Internet access history according to web site, date time and forbidden reason.

Know about "Log Off"
Supervisor can logoff WebCleaner without exiting WebCleaner services by clicking "Log Off".

Know about "Shut Down"
Supervisor can exit WebCleaner and shut down all WebCleaner services by clicking "Shut Down".

Register WebCleaner
Unregistered use of WebCleaner after the 7-day evaluation period will be forbidden. User can continually use WebCleaner by registering at www.NetGuarder.com. After purchase, user can receive a legal License Key and after registering this information at WebCleaner-> About->Register, user can convert evaluation version into registered version.
